Civic Place Brand Identity

Civic Place works with councils to turn unused public land into sustainable, purpose‑built temporary homes for families, delivered at no upfront cost.

The brief

Civic Place, a start up real estate company focused on transforming redundant public assets into vibrant, community serving developments, approached REBEL to create a brand identity that would bring the venture to life. The project required building the brand from the ground up, developing both its strategic foundations and its visual identity to establish a clear, compelling presence from day one.

Outcome

REBEL were fantastic partners from start to finish. Clear communication, great ideas, and outstanding execution. We couldn’t be happier with the work.

The Rebel spirit

REBEL approached the project with its usual spirit of challenging convention. Instead of producing a standard real estate logo, a mark was created with real meaning. The hexagonal structure, with its six points, became a way to express the six core pillars of the business while also nodding to a beehive, a fitting metaphor for the sustainable and community focused work Civic Place delivers. From there, REBEL developed a clear and cohesive visual language across digital and print, with every element crafted to feel bold, purposeful and rooted in meaning.

Project overview

Where strategy meets execution

A strategic mindset underpinned the entire Civic Place identity, with REBEL deliberately rejecting a generic real‑estate logo in favour of a mark loaded with purpose.

REBEL distilled the brand to its most meaningful elements, using a hexagonal mark to express Civic Place’s six pillars and its community‑driven ethos. This idea shaped a bold, purposeful visual language that feels both distinctive and deeply tied to the venture’s mission.

Office signage was refined to feel iconic and intentional, using a sustainability‑led palette that reinforces the brand’s values.
